From 31 October to 31 December, the Museum of Contemporary History-BDIC presents “Berlin : l’effacement des traces, 1989- 2009” (Berlin: clearing away the traces, 1989-2009) in Paris.
The exhibition uses artworks to present the ways in which “Berlin-capitale de la RDA” [Berlin-capital of the GDR] was swept away and the rebuilt urban landscape in which traces of this past emerge in unexpected and often spontaneous ways.
The event will be accompanied by evening film screenings on 7, 13 and 25 November 2009, as well as a conference entitled “Berlin : l’effacement des traces, 1989-2009” (Berlin: clearing away the traces, 1989-2009) on 5, 6 and 7 November 2009.
