General description : A unique body in France, the distinguishing feature of the Confédération Pyrénéenne du Tourisme,founded in 1918, is that it is the only association in France which groups and federates, for an entire massif, the main partners in the tourist economy with financial backing of : - the 3 regions participating in the programme (Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon)- the 6 departments (Pyr.-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyr., Haute-Garonne, Ariège, Aude and Pyr.-Orientales)- the 38 winter sports resorts - the State and Europe

Two essential missions
1- Develop the Brand Image and the Renown of the Pyrenees, as a holiday destination in all seasons : strengthen the position of the massif as aSnow resort, stress the concept of Fitness and well-being in the Pyrenees and develop the appeal of Summer tourism with walks/ nature discovery.

2- Organise and motivate the Network of public and private partnersaround a common goal : develop partnership and communication within the Pyrenees territory, back this up with an observer approach of Pyreneen Tourism.
