Seine" at the Musée des Impressionnismes, Giverny This exhibition
retraces the history of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, from Eugène Boudin
to Henri Matisse. Works on display will include masterpieces by Claude Monet,

Works by Degas from the Senn Collection at the Musée
Malraux, Le Havre The Senn collection brings together an exceptional
group of drawings and pastels by Edgar Degas, most of which will be on display
to the public for the first time. The exhibition will present 47 works alongside

Signac – Ports of France at the Musée Malraux, Le
Havre In 1929, at the age of 65, the renowned artist Paul Signac achieved
one of his long-held ambitions – to paint watercolours of 100 ports in France.

Impressionists in Dieppe" This exhibition will bring together
masterpieces by Eugène Boudin, Camille Pissarro, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir,

Boudin and Jongkind at the Musée de Honfleur The
story of artists' meetings at Honfleur and the Auberge Saint-Siméon is the theme
of this exhibition which will highlight the work of famous and lesser-known
artists alike. Exhibits include works by Camille Corot, Gustave Courbet, Eugène
Boudin, Alexandre Dubourg, Claude Monet, J-B. Jongkind, A-Félix Cals and many

"Impressionist Prints" at the Musée des Beaux-Arts,
Caen This exhibition held in Caen will bring together a selection of
Impressionist print masterpieces, all of which come from the superb collection

"Millet, at the dawn of Impressionism" exhibition at the
Musée Thomas-Henry, Cherbourg-Octeville Focusing on the landscapes of the
Nord-Cotentin area, with its cliffs, sea and hedged fields, this exhibition
presents a collection of pastels, oils and drawings on loan from museums around
the world. The works on display are quite different to the country scenes for
which Millet is famous and will introduce visitors to a different side of the

"Maxence Rifflet – Cherbourg via the coast" exhibition
(working title), Cherbourg-Octeville At the invitation of the Point du
Jour, an arts centre based in Cherbourg, photographer Maxence Rifflet has
produced a series of images which follow the coastal road (known as the "route

"Léon Riesener, from Romanticism to Impressionism",
Lisieux Dedicated to Léon Riesener, the largest public
collection of whose work is held by the Musées de Lisieux (pastels, drawings,
oils on canvas, daguerreotypes etc), this exhibition aims to demonstrate the
extent to which the artist's work reveals him to be one of the precursors of

The Seine through the eyes of painters: from Boudin to
Vallotton at the Musée Poulain, Vernon This exhibition will introduce
visitors to some of the less familiar sights along the banks of the Seine, an
area which saw the birth of Impressionism, as well as highlighting the wealth

Quevilly The "Painting in Normandy" collection will present a superb
selection of paintings by Monet, Courbet, Corot, Boudin, Cals, Delattre and many
others. "Fernand Bignon, in the wake of Impressionism" at the
Musée Villa Montebello, Trouville-sur-Mer The work of Fernand Bignon, a
photographer and film-maker from Normandy, presents a remarkable photographic
record of the pictorial art developed by the French Impressionists, as well as

Blanche Hoschedé-Monet exhibition, Louviers The Musée
de Louviers houses an exhibition of works by Claude Monet's step-daughter.
"Rouen impressionnée" Outdoor contemporary art installations
will be exposed around the centre of Rouen. This is mainly the project of the
artist Arne Quinze whose piece will be placed on the Boieldieu Bridge all
summer. The Belgian artist is well known around the world for her wooden
constructions.

art and music
Impressionism and Video Art: an echo of light - Jardins de
l'Hôtel du département de Seine-Maritime, Rouen Video artists have much
in common with the Impressionists, including their youth and a desire to look at
things differently and express themselves in new ways. This exhibition presents
the work of around twenty video artists from various cultures and nationalities,
with the aim of allowing visitors to "discover and rediscover", but also to
demonstrate the extraordinary modern approach and energy of these young masters

Impressionist Festival, Fabrice Roy presents a play featuring a dialogue between

events
Le Grand Déjeuner sur l’Herbe, 20 June The festival
is the perfect opportunity to recreate the Luncheon on the Grass (Déjeuner
sur l’herbe) by Manet and Monet or the Luncheon of the Boating Party
(Déjeuner des Canotiers) by Renoir. A number of picnics open to the
general public will be organised by the festival and held throughout the region,
particularly on the banks of the Seine and along the coast.
Impressionist-style dances and "guinguettes" Tuesday
13 and Wednesday 14 July 2010, and throughout the summer. Throughout the
festival, towns and villages in Normandy, especially those on the banks of the
Seine, will be the setting for traditional "guingettes" (musical restaurants) in
the style of the period of Renoir and Monet.
Open-air cinema at the Abbaye de Jumièges
Traditional haystacks will be created in the abbey gardens as a "living"
counterpoint to the famous Impressionist paintings of haystacks reproduced in
giant format. The event will include a "déjeuner sur l’herbe" picnic, as well as
the permanent projection of amateur films from the Mémoire audiovisuelle de
Haute-Normandie collection. >> More info
Journée Eugène
Boudin, Deauville Artistic, gastronomic, musical and theatrical events
on Sunday 8 August 2010. The programme includes a theatrical walk, "In the
footsteps of Eugène Boudin" ("Sur les traces d’Eugène Boudin"), a "déjeuner sur
l’herbe" picnic, an Impressionist buffet at the Hippodrome, and a painting

Impressionist-themed events in Trouville-sur-Mer As
part of the Normandy Impressionist Festival, the town of Trouville is organising
a programme of Impressionist-themed events, including "painting in the street"
and open-air cinema.
Impressionist-themed
events in Cabourg Cabourg is organising a range of summer events around
the first festival dedicated to Impressionism, including a dinner on the seawall
for 2,500 guests in period costume and illuminations on the Grand Hôtel.

"Variations Impressionnistes" at Clères zoo and botanical
gardens The Parc de Clères is organising a range of "variations
Impressionnistes" events, including a "guingette" (musical restaurant) on the banks of the river, Impressionist lectures and "impressions végétales" (plant-based Impressionist
creations).
Les Nuits Impressionnistes, Rouen The ephemeral
creations of the Nuits Impressionnistes – a combination of sound and light,
modern technology and cultural heritage – will highlight the cathedral and the
Fine Arts Museum, two masterpieces which are closely linked to the Impressionist

informative manner through thirty different family attractions. During this
Impressionist year, the park is aiming high! Discover the "Les Géants de
