Description of activity "Arts and culture in France" : Within 850 hectares of lakes, fountains, gardens, woods and groves, criss-crossed by a network of perfectly symmetrical alleys, the Château of Versailles, and the Grand and Petit Trianons invite visitors to discover their royal apartments and ceremonial rooms, testimony of three centuries of France's history.
Visitors have the opportunity to admire in detail the monumental accomplishments of the best contemporary architects, painters, sculptors, gardeners and cabinetmakers of Louis XIV and his successors.
Visitors can also wonder at the Chapelle Royale, the Royal Opera house, as well as the Coach Museum and the Queen Marie-Antoinette's private hamlet.
