Company description

General description : Lisieux, the capital of the Pays d' Auge, is one of the most charming places in Normandy, located 25 kilometres south of the Côte Fleurie and its prestigious seaside resorts.

Like other Norman towns, it was founded over two thousand years ago. During the 19th century, the town gradually lost its importance, first religious and then economic… until a miracle occurred, to shake it out of its peaceful existence.

It was at the turn of the 20th century that France and later the whole world discovered the life and message of a young Norman Carmelite, Sister Theresa of the Child Jesus. The town where she lived became an important shrine of spirituality.

Despite all the destruction of the Second World War, Lisieux also still has half-timbered houses and many sights as proof of its rich historical past.

Geographically, it is an ideal base for exploring Normandy, its country seats, its gastronomy and its famous apple trees.
