THE POPES' PALACE
The Popes' Palace, the residence of the Sovereign Pontiffs during the 14th century, is the biggest Gothic palace in the World.
There are 25 rooms to visit in the Palace : ceremonial rooms, chapels, cloister, the private papal apartments, with their priceless frecoes...
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS CENTER
lies in the very heart of the Popes' Palace, the biggest Gothic palace in the world. The International Congress Center offers 14 meeting rooms with the character and comfort that make every event a prestigious experience. An exceptional theater for all your events. The International Congress Center provides rooms which are adapted for every type of meeting from 20 to 700 people. The plenary meeting rooms, comittee rooms and exhibition halls are all equiped with the technical installations required for smooth meetings and events.
THE SAINT BÉNEZET BRIDGE
The famous Pont d'Avignon, a major feature in avignon's history, is known the world over, thanks to the celebrated children's song.

Description of activity "Arts and culture in France" :
Popes'palace, the biggest Gothic Palace in the world. The Popes' Palace, both a powerful fortress and a magnificient palace, was the seat of the Christian world in the 14th century. This exceptional monument bears the mark of the nine popes who succeeded one another there, the most famous of whom were Benedict XII and Clement VI. A visit to the Palace allows to discover 25 areas, there is a permanent showing of a historical film retracing the history of the monument. The Popes' Palace also houses major exhibitions every summer and un regular program throughout the year. Bridge of Avignon, a legendary bridge. A fascinating visit that tells the story of Avignon and of the Rhone river, the legend of Saint Benezet and the history behind the famous song. Don't miss the "Musée de l'Oeuvre" which explains the construction of the bridge. The monuments arerecognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit with audioguides in 7 laguages.
