Paris, an easily-accessible city
Right at the heart of Europe, Paris enjoys excellent air, rail and road links. Nearly 71 million passengers pass each year through its two international airports (Orly and Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle), located at only 30 minutes from the city centre. From the rest of Europe, you have the choice of 365 high-speed trains (TGV) daily, to travel to Paris in 1hr30 from Brussels, 2hrs35 from London… Within the city, everywhere is handy and accessible thanks to 15,000 taxis, 16 metro lines visiting 297 regularly-renovated stations, 5 fast suburban trains (RER), as well as 1,371 buses covering 59 routes. That’s real freedom of movement! From autumn 2006, a “green” and noiseless tram, combining speed and comfort, will cover the 42 km of boulevards that circle the city.
